This program included five students from Hiroshima University, three students from Kasetsart University, and three students from Changchun University, in addition to student staff from Beijing Normal University. Many participants had previously joined related programs in Thailand, Hiroshima, Korea, and other locations. Students experienced in international exchange naturally interacted with peers from other universities, while first-time participants were stimulated by these interactions, enabling them to engage actively in the program. In this way, the ongoing collaboration among six universities in five countries through Campus Asia continued to function effectively and with continuity.
The program combined academic lectures with diverse activities. Incorporating excursions in the first half helped to shorten the distance between students, fostering a positive and proactive atmosphere during subsequent lectures and group work.
Participants included both humanities and science students, with a well-balanced mix of topics ranging from science-oriented themes, such as urban planning and environmental studies, to humanities-oriented themes, such as education, language, and culture. Through lectures by professors from the Faculty of Geography, Faculty of Education, and the International Chinese Language Education Institute, students were able to gain knowledge across a wide range of fields. In addition to science-focused visits to locations such as the Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall, the Stable Circular Economy Industrial Park, and the State Key Laboratory of Earth Surface Processes and Resource Ecology, students also visited cultural sites including Miaoying Temple and the Summer Palace, promoting interdisciplinary understanding. When students found certain topics difficult to grasp, accompanying faculty provided timely explanations to support learning.
Moreover, the coordinators and student staff from Beijing Normal University provided meticulous support for transportation, facility guidance, and weekend excursions, allowing students to stay with peace of mind. The accommodations were conveniently located near the university, clean, and comfortable, providing an environment conducive to learning and living. Overall, this created a highly fulfilling program experience for all participants.
